Mulled Cranberry Punch

There are few things as warm and welcome in the autumn as as good mulled drink. I used to think that mulled was another word for 'warmed.' When I came to understand what mulling IS, well... let's just say that this has added another layer to why we love Fall. It's great to wrap your fingers around a mug at the backyard fire pit on a cool evening, or sip from a thermos at the cross country meet on a Saturday morning, or simply snuggle up on the sofa with your favorite afghan and your favorite cup anytime. I've already shared our Spiced Apple Cider, and today I want to share the Mulled Cranberry Punch. Aside from the wonderful flavor of this punch, the aroma is an extra bonus...it's almost worth making just to fill your house with that bouquet. 
 
Mulled Cranberry Punch
Mulled Cranberry Punch


Ingredients:
2 cups Apple Cider
6 cups (44oz) Cranberry Punch
3 cups White Grape Juice
3 cups Orange Juice

-Spice Pouch
3 cinnamon sticks
5 white Jamaican Allspice
5 whole cloves

Directions:
1. Add the cider, cranberry punch, and juices to the slow cooker.
2. Make a spice pouch using cheesecloth or a coffee filter - adding the allspice, cinnamon and cloves to the pouch. 
3. Place pouch in the slow cooker with the liquids and heat on High for about 2 hours. 

Garnish mugs with an orange slice or a cinnamon stick, if desired.
