The Shady Porch: What's For Supper: Menu December 1, 2014

What's For Supper: Menu December 1, 2014

Our Thanksgiving week was ridiculously good. We had a practice meal early in the week so we could try some recipes; then, on Saturday, we combined Thanksgiving with Rivalry Week in college football. It was a wonderful celebration with family; our team won the big game, and we had an absolute feast. (So much so that we forgot the deviled eggs until Sunday morning!) Truly, many reasons to be thankful. And now, I now have a refrigerator full of leftovers.
I plan to to use them this evening by making Leftover Thanksgiving Muffins. Basically, it's the Thanksgiving feast in miniature form, which makes me happy since a) my refrigerator will be cleaned out, b) I am saving money and time by c) using leftovers.  The rest of the week I'm using supplies I have on hand (smoked sausage, pkg of cubed ham, chicken breasts and ground beef) since even a modest Thanksgiving feast can put a ding in the budget. I pray everyone had a wonderful holiday. Now the Christmas countdown begins. Speaking of Christmas, I hope to share some new recipes that will inspire your holiday menus... cookies, bars, and more punch recipes are coming soon.
